The Bright Bad Batch

In this episode, we are pretty sure we can’t hang with The Bad Batch, are ready to weep at The Leveling, can’t wait to fall in love with Everything Everything, and are glad to see Will Smith in a position of authority again in Bright.

  • Casey Affleck talked about previous sexual assault charges….by saying absolutely nothing.
  • Everyone should see Hidden Figures. Also, here’s Katherine Johnson at The Oscars!

Strange Benedict Bashing

In this episode, we wish Office Christmas Party didn’t give us such high hijinks expectations, are ready for everyone’s favorite Hufflepuff to descend on New York in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, are READY for Diana to kick some ass and deflect some bullets in Wonder Woman, and are already crying from the splendor that is La La Land. Also SPOILERS for Doctor Strange.

  • Gillian’s love of Benedict Cumberbatch is documented in previous episodes. But, she does not take back her opinion on his accent work or the fact that he was miscast as Doctor Strange. Case and point, this sketch. He was probably going for a certain type of dialect but it keeps getting lost:

TRAILERS

Loving La La Land

In this episode, we find out the Rules Don’t Apply to Warren Beatty and baby Han Solo, see if John Kransinski can direct The Hollars, take a trip to La La Land with Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, and are swept away by the love story that is Loving.

Gillian also saw Ghostbusters and recommends it because, despite some jokes falling flat, the cast is just too awesome to ignore. Jaclyn saw The Secret Life of Pets also thinks it has a pretty great (vocal) cast.
