Pretty pictures/serious content episode

Hello there,

We have a split episode — half animated fun, half intense drama.

Don’t worry. It all makes sense.

In this episode we save the world (?) with the Penguins of Madagascar, are confused by the pretty people in White Bird in a Blizzard, dazzled by the Day of the Dead in The Book of Life, and wonder if Shia LaBeouf is actually in Fury.

The Left Behind Hobbit Episode

Hello all,

It is certainly the doldrums of August — for both movies and movie trailers. So we made the best of a mess of movies. The results are interesting. So if you hate Nicholas Sparks but love discussing the Book of Revelations then this is the episode for you.

In this episode we help Billy Crudup find some direction in Rudderless, try to find the plot/conflict in The Best of Me, find out that Nicholas Cage will be our leader in the end of days in Left Behind and love everything about The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies — except for the actual movie.

In the beginning of the episode we discuss our favorite Robin Williams’ performance and review the Harry Potter rom-com What If.

This is a special episode as we have a special guest! Our movie-hating friend Julie! Ok, she doesn’t really hate movies but she is not crazy about most of them, unless they involve Daniel Radcliffe or science. She further explains on the podcast.

We had a lot of fun reviewing some of the weird trailers that came out of Comic-Con this year. In this episode —

We change it up and review the new t.v. show Baby Bruce Wayne a.k.a. Gotham, we find out we know nothing about Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, watch some sweet slow motion explosions in Mad Max: Fury Road, and become excited/freaked out/disgusted by Kevin Smith’s movie Tusk.
