Hope everyone is having a nice holiday week. If you are seeing a movie may the odds be ever in your favor.

This week we find out that there are three Nights at the Museum, watch Adam Sandler find a way to be the star of a movie by somehow making other people act for him in The Cobbler,  have our eyes blinded by the colorful saturation of Cinderella, and are already in love with Pitch Perfect 2.

Also, Gillian has seen Interstellar and Chef in the past week and she recommends both. Both Gillian and Jaclyn have seen Birdman.….and have differing opinions. Look for a podcast where we talk just about that film.

Singing Hobbit mall cops

Hello all,

Some new stuff this week, including a separate spoiler discussion of the movie Whiplash. Let us know what you think!

But first things first — In this episode we watch Anne Hathaway sing yet again in Song One, one of us bestows a questionable amount of love for Paul Bart: Mall Cop 2, we reluctantly watch the beautiful yet unnecessary The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, and find an top-notch oscar front runner in Selma.

Into the holidays

It’s the holidays/almost Oscar season. So we have some pretty big movies coming up. But we don’t want to bore you with a bunch of stuffy movies all the time, so we reviewed a Lifetime movie this week. You are welcome.

In this episode we wonder why the Minions are so damn popular (and kinda get it), see an Internet meme become an actual movie with Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever,  watch the real life Wall-e in Chappie and are cautiously optimistic about going Into The Woods.

• There are dozens of articles trying to describe the appeal of the Minions. I still don’t get it (Gillian)
• So they are changing the end to Into the Woods. I mean, we can’t have  princesses dying on Christmas.

Luis Guzmán episode

Hello all,

Don’t worry, the title of this episode is misleading yet accurate. It’s definitely not a bunch of Luis Guzmán movies, but it’s not not a bunch of Luis Guzmán movies. You’ll see.

Anyways, in this episode we go from annoyed to amazed with Furious 7, say some serious snark about the unnecessary movie The Lookalike, get some quirky Lena Dunham vibes from Two-Bit Waltz and find out if Chris Rock can make a funny movie about not wanting to be funny anymore in Top Five.
